TURKEY – AWAY SHIRT 2010
Turkey’s national team enjoyed a golden period throughout the 2000s, highlighted by a remarkable third-place finish at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, as well as another third-place finish at the 2003 Confederations Cup. They also reached the semi-finals of Euro 2008 in dramatic fashion, cementing their reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting sides during that era. Turkey have only qualified for the World Cup three times: 1954, 2002, and 2022.
The team have featured regularly at the European Championships, debuting at Euro 1996 and achieving their best finish at Euro 2008. Their performances during this period were built on resilience, late comebacks, and a strong sense of unity.
Turkey wore this away shirt during their 2010 campaign, a year that ultimately ended in disappointment. After coming so close to qualifying, they narrowly missed out on a place at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, finishing third in their qualifying group behind Spain and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Despite boasting a talented squad featuring experienced names and emerging players, Turkey were unable to replicate the heroics of previous years.
As of 2026, Turkey are once again pushing to establish themselves on the international stage. After qualifying for Euro 2024 and reaching the knockout rounds, the national side has continued to build momentum with a new generation of talent. They remain in contention for qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a strong squad blending experienced players and exciting youngsters.
Even if they fail to qualify for World Cup 2026, Turkey have been named as a co-host for Euro 2032 and will qualify automatically as a result. With a golden generation coming through with youngsters like Arda Guler and Kenan Yildiz - who ought to be peaking around this time - Turkey fans will be looking forward to this one.
