VIBORG FF - THIRD SHIRT 2025/2026

Viborg FF were founded on 1 April 1896, making them one of the oldest football clubs in Denmark - fitting for a central Jutland city so ancient that Danish kings were traditionally proclaimed there. Known as De Grønne ("The Greens"), the club call the Energi Viborg Arena home, and their finest hour came in 2000, when they lifted the Danish Cup with a 1-0 win over AaB.

The 2025/2026 campaign, during which this striking camouflage third shirt - a tribute to the club's "Green Army" faithful in the South Stand - was worn, marked Viborg's 129th season and a fifth consecutive year in the Danish Superliga. Head coach Jakob Poulsen departed for AGF before a ball was kicked, promptly leading them to a first title in 40 years, while assistant Nickolai Lund was promoted to the top job in July. Under Lund, Viborg finished 5th with 44 points, edging Sønderjyske on goal difference to reach the championship round for only the second time in the club's history.

The season's real drama came in the Danish Cup. Viborg saw off AC Horsens, put six past fifth-tier BV Oksbøl, and beat Fredericia 4-2 on penalties after Charly Nouck Horneman's late equaliser, before dispatching Vejle 4-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals. For the second consecutive season, their run ended in the semi-finals at the hands of Copenhagen - this time 4-2 on aggregate.

Nouck Horneman finished as the club's top league scorer with six goals, while captain Jeppe Grønning wrote himself into the record books by converting the very first goal of the entire Superliga season, a penalty against defending champions Copenhagen on opening night. Midfielder Thomas Jørgensen, meanwhile, swept both the Superliga Player of the Month and Young Player of the Month awards in November.
