WALES – HOME SHIRT 2011
Wales’ national team represents a proud footballing nation with a rich history and passionate supporters. Despite being a smaller nation in terms of population, Wales have produced a number of talented players and have regularly punched above their weight in European football.
This era was shaped by key figures such as Ryan Giggs, Gareth Bale, and Aaron Ramsey, who all played pivotal roles in raising the profile of Welsh football and inspiring a new generation of talent.
In 2011, Wales wore this Umbro-manufactured classic red home shirt during their EURO 2012 qualifiers. Despite showing promise, their campaign ultimately fell short, finishing behind England, Montenegro, and Switzerland in their group and missing out on qualification.
As of 2026, Wales have missed out on the World Cup. They were still in contention for a place at the FIFA World Cup, having secured a spot in the European qualifying playoffs. To reach the tournament, they needed to first overcome Bosnia and Herzegovina, before facing either Italy or Northern Ireland for a place at the 2026 World Cup, which they failed to do. Had Wales qualified, much of the success was likely to hinge on brilliance from Harry Wilson, who has taken over from Gareth Bale as the nation’s star man.
