Switzerland 2020/2021 Away Shirt

SWITZERLAND  – AWAY SHIRT 2020/2021

Switzerland wore this attractive away shirt at the delayed Euro 2020 tournament (which was played in the summer of 2021 due to COVID-19).

Switzerland qualified for the tournament by topping their group and were drawn in a difficult group alongside Italy, Wales and Turkey. They qualified as one of the best third place teams after a final round win against Turkey.

Switzerland then went on to cause one of the shocks of the tournament, beating
France on penalties after a 3-3 draw in the Round of 16. However their luck in penalty shoot-outs left them in the Quarter Final when losing to the Spanish to knock the Swiss out of the tournament.

The four differently coloured stripes symbolize the four official languages of Switzerland: German, French, Italian and Rhaeto-Romanic. They are each made up of small Swiss crosses and also represent a mountain panorama.
