ESKİŞEHİRSPOR – HOME SHIRT 2020/2021
Eskişehirspor is a Turkish football club based in the city of Eskişehir, situated on the banks of the Porsuk River in north-western Turkey. Founded in 1965, the club has long been regarded as one of the country’s most historic and passionately supported sides, earning the nickname Anadolu Yıldızı (The Anatolian Star). The club most recently played in the Turkish top flight in 2015/2016.
They play their home matches at the modern New Eskişehir Stadium, a 35,000-capacity venue that reflects the club’s stature and boasts one of the most dedicated fanbases in Turkish football.
This home shirt was worn during the 2020/2021 season. Staying true to the club’s identity, the design featured the traditional red and black vertical stripes, delivering a classic and instantly recognisable look that has defined Eskişehirspor for decades.
However, the season itself proved to be an extremely challenging one. Following the previous campaign’s reprieve due to the pandemic, Eskişehirspor entered the 2020/2021 TFF 1. Lig season under significant financial and squad constraints, relying heavily on young and inexperienced players.
As the season unfolded, results on the pitch reflected these difficulties, and the club struggled throughout the campaign. Ultimately, Eskişehirspor finished at the bottom of the table and were relegated, marking a difficult chapter in the club’s recent history. The club finished on just 8 points following a 3 point deduction and only 1 win all season.
