RANGERS – AWAY SHIRT 2013/2014
Rangers Football Club, commonly known as Rangers, are one of Scotland’s most famous and successful football clubs. Based in Glasgow, they play their home matches at the iconic Ibrox Stadium. Founded in 1872, Rangers have won numerous Scottish league titles and domestic cups and are renowned for their passionate support.
This away shirt was worn during the 2013/2014 season, a pivotal campaign in the club’s modern history. Following their re-entry into the Scottish league system in 2012, Rangers continued their climb back up the football pyramid. The 2013/2014 season saw the club competing in Scottish League One, the third tier of Scottish football.
Under the management of Ally McCoist, Rangers dominated the division, completing the league season unbeaten and finishing 1st with a record 102 points from 36 matches. They scored 106 league goals and dropped just six points all season, securing automatic promotion to the Scottish Championship. The league title was clinched with a 3–0 win over Airdrieonians, highlighted by a first-half hat-trick from captain Lee McCulloch.
Cup competitions proved more challenging. Rangers were eliminated in the first round of the Scottish League Cup by Forfar Athletic, lost the Scottish Challenge Cup final 1–0 after extra time to Raith Rovers, and exited the Scottish Cup at the semi-final stage, following a 3–1 defeat to Dundee United.
Jon Daly was Rangers’ standout performer, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 20 goals in the league and 25 in all competitions.
