GREENLAND – HOME SHIRT 2025

The Greenland national football team represent Greenland but are sadly not recognised by FIFA and so have to compete in non-FIFA registered tournaments.

Home matches are played at the Nuuk Stadium in the capital of Nuuk. The stadium holds 2,000 spectators and has artificial turf as it would be difficult to cultivate a conventional grass based pitch given Greenland’s climate.

The Polar Teddy Bears first played an international in 1980, against the Faroe Islands.

Their biggest win was against the Channel Island of Sark in 2003, a convincing 15-0 win!

This 2025 home shirt has been produced by Hummel and promotes Greenland’s heritage with an engraved pattern of tupilaks (traditional small, carved figures from Inuit culture which are often sold as souvenirs) and tuukkaqer motifs on the side panelling. A truly beautiful shirt.
