LYON – AWAY SHIRT 2023/2024

Olympique Lyonnais are one of France’s most historic sides, competing in Ligue 1 and representing the city of Lyon. After a turbulent few seasons, the 2024/2025 campaign signalled a strong resurgence for Les Gones as they aimed to reassert themselves domestically and in Europe.

Olympique Lyonnais endured a dramatic 2023/2024 campaign in Ligue 1, a season that began in turmoil but ended in remarkable fashion. Representing the city of Lyon, Les Gones found themselves toward and sometimes right at the bottom of the table into the second half of the season before mounting an extraordinary turnaround in the second half of the season.

Wearing this sleek away shirt throughout the campaign, Lyon completed one of the most impressive recoveries in recent Ligue 1 history, finishing 6th in the league to secure European qualification after spending much of the autumn and winter in the relegation zone.

Captain Alexandre Lacazette was once again the club’s talisman, finishing as Lyon’s top scorer with 19 league goals, delivering crucial strikes during the club’s climb up the table. Emerging star Rayan Cherki also enjoyed a breakthrough year, adding creativity and flair that became central to Lyon’s attacking play.

In the domestic cups, Lyon made an outstanding run to the final of the Coupe de France, ultimately finishing as runners-up to PSG. What began as a season of uncertainty ended with optimism restored, laying the foundations for the progress that followed in 2024/2025.
