MILLWALL – HOME SHIRT 2008/2009

Millwall is a professional club from Bermondsey, South London. The Lions play home matches at The Den and currently compete in England’s second tier, The Championship. The club’s fans are famous for being rather passionate with their favourite chant being ‘No one likes us, we don’t care’!

Millwall wore this smart home shirt in the 2008/2009 season when competing in League One, England's third tier, following relegation from the Championship on the previous season. It was an okay season for the club, they made the play-offs in the league and got to the final, but Scunthorpe United bested them 3-2.

Their Football League Trophy and League Cup runs ended very quickly - both in the 1st round by a scoreline of 1-0 to Colchester and Northampton respectively. However, they did have a decent run in the FA Cup. They reached the 5th round before losing 2-0 to Hull City.

Striker Gary Alexander was their top scorer across all competitions, finishing with 11 in total - 9 in the league and 2 in cup competitions.
