New York City FC is an American professional football club based in New York City. The side compete in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer, the highest tier of football in the US. Their home matches are played at the iconic Yankee Stadium, home to the New York Yankees, which has a capacity of 28,743 for football matches. 80% of the club is owned by City Football Group, who own clubs such as Manchester City, Montevideo City Torque, Girona and many more.

This home shirt was worn across two seasons (2019 and 2020). In 2019 New York City finished the regular season top of the Eastern Conference but fell at the semi-final stage of the MLS Cup Playoffs.

In 2020, the team slipped to 5th place in the regular season and 7th overall in the MLS under the management of Ronny Della.
