ORLANDO PIRATES - THIRD SHIRT 2025/2026

Orlando Pirates are South African football royalty, founded back in 1937 in the Orlando township of Soweto, Johannesburg. The Buccaneers, as they are known to their fiercely loyal following, play their home matches at the Orlando Stadium and remain locked in arguably the most heated rivalry on the African continent with neighbours Kaizer Chiefs - a fixture that grinds the country to a standstill and is known the world over as the Soweto Derby. Pirates are the only South African club to have lifted the CAF Champions League, conquering the continent in 1995, and they sit alongside the very biggest names in the African game.

This striking third shirt belongs to a 2025/2026 Betway Premiership season that Pirates fans will remember forever. Under Moroccan head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, the Buccaneers ended a fourteen-year league title drought, pipping serial champions Mamelodi Sundowns to the crown with 69 points from 30 matches, one clear of Sundowns, and conceding just 12 goals all season. It was their first league title since 2011/2012 and finally broke Sundowns' staggering eight-year stranglehold on the trophy.

Pirates lifted both the MTN8 and South African League Cup. On the continent, the Buccaneers missed out on qualification for the CAF Champions League on penalties to Congolese side Lupopo.

Winger Relebohile Mofokeng was the standout, top-scoring with 11 goals in all competitions, while playmaker Patrick Maswanganyi pulled the strings from midfield. All in all, 2025/2026 was just about as good as it gets at Pirates.
