Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, commonly known as PSG, are one of the most successful and dominant clubs in French football history. Founded in 1970, the club is based in the French capital and plays home matches at the iconic Parc des Princes, a stadium with a capacity of approximately 48,000. Since the early 2010s, PSG have established themselves as the singular powerhouse of French football, regularly competing at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.
PSG wore this smart white away shirt, designed by Nike, during the 2014/2015 season, one of the most successful campaigns in the club’s history. Under the management of Laurent Blanc, PSG secured a historic domestic treble, winning Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Coupe de la Ligue. In the league, PSG finished 1st with 83 points, comfortably defending their title and reiterating their superiority in French football.
The Parisian side that were led by a star-studded squad featuring Zlatan Ibrahimović, Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva, Marco Verratti, and Blaise Matuidi, dominated the season. While Ibrahimović remained the club's key player, even finishing as PSG's top Ligue 1 scorer with 19 goals (despite a significant injury layoff), it was actually Cavani who ended the season as the overall top scorer with 31 goals across all competitions, one more than Ibrahimović's total of 30.
In domestic cup competitions, PSG completed the treble in style. They defeated Auxerre in the Coupe de France final and overcame Bastia in the Coupe de la Ligue final, showcasing their depth and dominance across all competitions.
In Europe, PSG competed in the UEFA Champions League, progressing to the quarter-finals. Their run came to an end against FC Barcelona, who eliminated the French champions over two legs on their way to winning a historic treble, with their iconic MSN (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) frontline - two of which went on to play for Les Parisiens.
