POLAND – HOME SHIRT 2020
The Poland national football team represents Poland in men’s international football competitions, having played their first official match in 1921. The team is governed by the Polish Football Association, which oversees the development and organization of football across the country.
They are widely known by the nicknames “The White-Reds” and “The Eagles,” a reference to the nation’s iconic coat of arms, which features a white eagle set against a red background. Poland reached their highest-ever FIFA World Ranking of 5th in 2017, reflecting a strong period in their modern footballing history. Their home matches are played at the Kazimierz Górski National Stadium in Warsaw, one of Eastern Europe’s premier football venues.
In terms of tournament history, this white home shirt was worn during UEFA Euro 2020 (played in 2021), where Poland endured a difficult campaign. Drawn in a challenging group alongside Spain, Sweden, and Slovakia, they finished bottom. Their standout moment came in a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Spain, where star striker Robert Lewandowski scored a crucial equaliser, underlining his importance to the national side.
Following that tournament, Poland entered a transitional phase, with a mix of experienced leaders and emerging talents attempting to push the team forward. Despite flashes of quality their 2022 World Cup campaign ended in a loss to France in the Round of 16.
As of 2026, Poland have suffered a major setback by failing to qualify for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Their hopes were dashed in a decisive qualifier against Sweden, where they were defeated by a late goal from Viktor Gyökeres. The result confirmed their absence from the global tournament, marking a disappointing chapter and perhaps the conclusion for their greatest ever player - Robert Lewandowski.
