SLOVAKIA – HOME SHIRT 2022

Slovakia, one of Europe’s younger footballing nations, have continued to build their identity since gaining independence following the split of Czechoslovakia in 1993.

Sokoli (The Falcons) wore this home shirt throughout the 2022 international calendar, featuring in UEFA Nations League fixtures and World Cup qualification matches.

The campaign saw Slovakia compete against strong European opposition in a bid to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. Unfortunately for them, they finished 3rd in their qualifying group behind Croatia and Russia.

More recently, Slovakia have been competing in 2026 World Cup qualifiers. They finished 2nd in a 4 team group consisting of themselves, Germany, Northern Ireland, and Luxembourg, thus qualifying for the World Cup playoff rounds where they were drawn against Kosovo. In a thriller, Slovakia lost 4-3 to Kosovo, who went on to lose to Turkey in the Playoff final.
