SPARTAK TRNAVA - HOME SHIRT 2025/2026

Spartak Trnava are one of the great names of Slovak football, founded in 1923 in the western Slovak city of Trnava and known across the country as Andeli - the White Angels. Spartak play their home games at the Štadión Antona Malatinského, a modern 19,200-seat ground built on the site of their historic Trnava home. Few clubs in the region carry the heritage Spartak do: five Czechoslovak league titles in a remarkable golden run between 1968 and 1973, and a famous 1968/1969 European Cup campaign that ended in the semi-finals against eventual finalists Ajax. Spartak remain the only Slovak side ever to reach that stage of Europe's premier competition.

The 2025/2026 Slovak Super Liga campaign - during which this striking home shirt was worn - ran under new head coach Michal Ščasný, who replaced Michal Gašparík in June 2025 after Gašparík left for Polish side Górnik Zabrze. Spartak made a flying start, topping the early standings and going unbeaten through the opening rounds, before Slovan Bratislava reasserted their grip on the title for an eighth successive championship. Andeli finished in the European places, well clear of the chasing pack and once again the leading challenger from outside Bratislava.

Europe was a real adventure. Spartak edged past Häcken on away goals in the Europa League first qualifying round, dropped into the Conference League and thrashed Hibernians 7-2 on aggregate, before bowing out to Universitatea Craiova in a wild third-round tie.
