Almirante Brown 2022 Special Shirt

ALMIRANTE BROWN – SPECIAL SHIRT 2022

Club Almirante Brown is a sports club based in greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. The team currently plays in the second tier of Argentinian football, the Primera Nacional.  

The club is named after the Irish-Argentinian Naval Admiral – William Brown, famous for leading the Argentinian navy to break the Spanish Blockade of the River Plate.

They play at Estadio Fragata Presidente Sarmiento, capacity 25,000 and in 2020 finished as champions of their league.

The team was formed in 1912 and has always played in striking black and yellow stripes.

In 1998 the team was relegated, even after defeating Estudiantes of Buenos Aires in the final game.  However, Almirante fans threw a bomb onto the pitch, which resulted in two of their own players being injured.

The club produced and wore this retro shirt with laces in the 2022 season when finishing 25th in the 37 team league!
