ATLÉTICO SAN LUIS – CUP SHIRT 2024/2025
Atlético San Luis are a Mexican football club based in the central city of San Luis Potosí, known for its rich mining history. The club was founded in 2013, following a relocation and rebranding of the old San Luis FC franchise. They play their home matches at the Estadio Alfonso Lastras, which holds approximately 25,000 fans.
This smart navy shirt was worn during the 2024/2025 season, where San Luis secured a solid 6th placed finish in Liga MX, Apertura. Their home form this season was outstanding, winning 7 out of 8 games and drawing the other, however their fortunes in this shirt in away games were not so good. They only won 2 out of their 9 away games, whilst losing 5 and drew the remaining 2. Sebastien Salles-Lamonge was their top scorer with 6 goals. Former Wolves and Forest striker Leo Bonatini also got 4 in the Apertura.
Their Clausura form was unfortunately a lot worse. In their 17 games they only managed 6 wins, losing the other 11 and the trend of this shirt being unsuccessful carried on winning just 2 out of 8 games away from home. Sesbastien Salles-Lamonge scored another 6 goals in these games and was definitely the highlight of their season.
This shirt was worn during the clubs cup appearances, which were limited to the Leagues Cup. The Leagues Cup is made up of teams from Mexico and the MLS. San Luis won one, drew one (winning on penalties), and lost one of their 3 group matches. This wasn't enough for them to progress to the Quarterfinals, but did earn them a respectable 9th placed finish out of 18 teams in their side of the draw.
