ATLÉTICO UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL SAN AGUSTÍN – HOME SHIRT 2026

Atlético Universidad Nacional San Agustín is a Peruvian football club based in Arequipa, founded on 24 February 1964 by students of the Universidad Nacional de San Agustín. Known as The Garnets, the club has a proud history of developing local talent and competing in Peru’s national competitions.

The team plays its home matches at the Estadio Monumental de la UNSA, a stadium renowned for its passionate supporters and vibrant atmosphere, with a capacity of 45,000 spectators.

Atlético Universidad’s most successful era came in the early 2000s, when they won the Copa Perú in 2002, earning promotion to the Peruvian Primera División, where they competed from 2003 to 2005. Regionally, they also secured the Liga Departamental de Arequipa title three consecutive times (2000–2002) on their way to national recognition. In early 2006, the club’s directors decided to withdraw from professional football, selling their place in the league to Alfonso Ugarte of Puno.

After several years away from the professional scene, Atlético Universidad returned in 2013 and now competes in the Copa Perú, the national tournament that serves as a pathway to Peru’s professional leagues. In recent campaigns, the club has remained active, representing Arequipa and striving to regain momentum toward higher tiers of Peruvian football.

For the 2026 season, the club will wear this smart home shirt as they continue their journey to re-establish themselves at the top levels of Peruvian football. The shirt is inspired by the Misi Volcano, that watches over the City.
