BENFICA – HOME SHIRT 2022/2023

Located in the capital Lisbon, Benfica are one of Portugal’s top three clubs. They play at the famous Estadio da Luz (Stadium of Light). Benfica have never been relegated from the Primeira Liga.

As Aguias (The Eagles) wore this red home shirt in the 2022/2023 season, when the club won the league with a total of 87 points. This was their first title since 2018/2019. Goncalo Ramos scored 19 goals in the league before securing a move to PSG. This was also Alejandro Grimaldo's final season at the club before moving to Bayern Leverkusen and having a record breaking year, ending his 7 year stay. Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez also left the club in January for a then British record fee of £106.8m having been at the club just 6 months. Benfica nearly tripled their money in that time!

In Europe, Benfica topped their group with PSG and Juventus in, which was a massive over-achievement for them. They then beat Club Brugge 7-1 across two legs, before being knocked out by Inter Milan, losing 5-3 across the two legs.
