BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA – AWAY SHIRT 2016
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national team represents a relatively young footballing nation on the international stage, having competed independently since the 1990s following the breakup of Yugoslavia. Despite their short history, they have produced a number of talented players and have steadily grown in stature, highlighted by their first major tournament appearance at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
This rise has been driven by key figures such as Edin Džeko, Miralem Pjanić, Asmir Begović, Edin Višća and Zvjezdan Misimović, who have helped establish Bosnia and Herzegovina as a competitive side in European football.
In 2016, Bosnia and Herzegovina wore a clean and modern white away shirt, featuring subtle blue detailing in keeping with the national colours.
However, their path to the tournament proved challenging. Despite a strong push in the latter stages of qualification, Bosnia and Herzegovina ultimately fell short, missing out on a place at EURO 2016 after a playoff defeat to the Republic of Ireland.
As of 2026, Bosnia and Herzegovina have qualified for the FIFA World Cup, via the European qualifying playoffs having beat Italy on penalties. With a blend of experienced players and emerging talent, such as Edin Džeko and RB Salzburg Starlet Kerim Alajbegović, they will believe they have a genuine chance of getting out of their group featuring Switzerland, Canada, and Qatar.
