CAPE VERDE – AWAY SHIRT 2023/2024

Cape Verde or Cabo Verde is an archipelago and island country off the coast of West Africa in the Atlantic Ocean.

The islands were a Portuguese former colony but gained independence in 1975. The archipelago’s population is 483,000.

The national side, nicknamed The Blue Sharks, are currently ranked 73rd in the FIFA rankings but reached as high as 27th in Feb 2014. They have never qualified for a World Cup but have become regular AFCON qualifiers (2013,2015, 2021 and 2023).

Cape Verde wore this away shirt, which features a map of the archipelago, in the 2024 AFCON tournament which started in January 2024 in The Ivory Coast.

Cape Verde had an amazing tournament reaching the quarter finals, before losing on penalties to South Africa.
