Celta Vigo 2025/2026 Third Shirt

CELTA VIGO - THIRD SHIRT 2025/2026

RC Celta de Vigo were formed in 1923 through the merger of Real Vigo Sporting and Real Fortuna, and represent the port city of Vigo in Galicia, in Spain's north-western corner. Known as Os Celestes (The Sky Blues) for their pale blue home colours, they have played at the Estadio de Balaídos on the banks of the Ría de Vigo since 1928. The club's Celtic-inspired name and crest set them apart in Spanish football, and few sides are as tied to one favourite son as Celta are to academy graduate Iago Aspas.

The 2025/2026 campaign, during which this striking third shirt was worn, was Celta's 103rd season and their 14th consecutive year in La Liga. Under Claudio Giráldez, the young Galician coach who had taken charge in March 2024, they finished sixth with 54 points from 38 games (14 wins, 12 draws, 12 defeats), securing another season of European football as Barcelona lifted the title.

Europe provided the season's most memorable nights. Having qualified for the Europa League, Celta came through the league phase and beat PAOK over two legs in the knockout play-off round to reach the Round of 16, where their continental run finally ended. There were fine days on home soil too, none better than a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao at Balaídos in December.

Borja Iglesias top-scored with 18 goals in all competitions, 14 of them in La Liga, a superb return in his first season back in his native Galicia after re-signing in August 2025. Summer arrival Ferran Jutglà weighed in with a string of goals of his own, while young Swede Williot Swedberg was named La Liga's best Under-23 player for December.
