Charlotte wore this attractive purple away shirt in the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

In 2023, the club finished the Eastern Conference in 9th place but their season ended after losing the wildcard match to New York Red Bulls.

Dean Smith took over the management of the club in the 2024 MLS season, with Charlotte improving to 5th in the table. However, they lost to Orlando City in Round One of the playoffs.
