CHARLTON ATHLETIC – AWAY SHIRT 2024/2025
Charlton Athletic Football Club are a professional football club based in Charlton, south-east London. The team currently competes in the Championship, the second tier of English football, and are commonly known by The Addicks.
Charlton shares strong local rivalries with fellow South London clubs Crystal Palace and Millwall. Founded on 9 June 1905, the club turned professional in 1920.
Charlton’s home ground is The Valley, where they have played since 1919. Between 1985 and 1992, however, the team spent seven seasons away from The Valley - first at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park and later at West Ham United’s former stadium, Upton Park (the Boleyn Ground). This move was prompted by financial difficulties and safety concerns raised by the local council.
This Castore away shirt was worn by Charlton during the 2024/2025 season - a successful campaign that saw the club earn promotion back to the Championship via the play-offs. They achieved this with a 1–0 victory over Leyton Orient at Wembley, a satisfying result after Orient had eliminated them from the EFL Trophy earlier in the season.
Matt Godden was Charlton's primary goal threat during the season, grabbing himself 18 goals from just 29 starts.
