CHONBURI FC - HOME SHIRT 2025/2026
Chonburi Football Club were founded in 1997 in the coastal city of Chonburi, south-east of Bangkok, and are universally known as Chalam Chon (The Sharks), the predator that prowls their crest. They play at the 8,680-capacity Chonburi Stadium and have long been famed as Thailand's great talent factory, with more than 80 per cent of their 2007 championship-winning side having graduated from the club's own academy. That academy today holds coveted two-star status, one of only four in South East Asia to do so.
The 2025/2026 season, during which this eye-catching home shirt was worn, marked Chonburi's return to Thai League 1 after a single season in the second tier, having stormed to the 2024/2025 Thai League 2 title. It proved a turbulent year in the dugout, with Teerasak Po-on and interim boss Witthaya Laohakul both giving way to Rangsan Viwatchaichok in November. Sitting 15th of 16 after eight games, The Sharks recovered to finish a respectable 8th, taking 39 points from 30 games.
There was cup drama to soften a demanding league campaign. After a first-round exit in the Thai FA Cup, Chonburi went deep in the Thai League Cup, thrashing Nongbua Pitchaya 5-1 along the way, before losing a seven-goal thriller 4-3 to Port in the semi-finals. Continental pedigree still sets them apart from most provincial Thai sides, with an AFC Cup semi-final run in 2012 and a cabinet that holds a league title, two FA Cups and four Kor Royal Cups.
Dutch forward Oege-Sietse van Lingen top-scored in his first season at the club with 8 league goals, leading a side still built around academy graduates and captain Channarong Promsrikaew. The standout result came in November 2025, when 10-man Chonburi beat eventual champions Buriram United 4-2, handing them their first league defeat of the season. The club's history looms over every shirt: icon Pipob On-Mo remains the all-time benchmark with 404 appearances and 104 goals, and his 2007 Player of the Year award arrived as Chonburi were crowned champions of Thailand.
