Coventry City 2022/2023 Third Shirt

COVENTRY CITY  – THIRD SHIRT 2022/2023

Coventry City Football Club is an English professional football club based in Coventry, England. Founded in August of 1883, the club has a long and rich history; they were winners of the FA Cup in 1987 and were also founding members of the Premier League in its inaugural season in 1992. Currently, the club compete in the EFL Championship, the second highest division of football in England. 

The Sky Blues returned to play matches back in Coventry at the CBS Arena in the 2021/2022 season after a long standing dispute.

The Sky Blues wore this third shirt in the 2022/2023 season under the management of Mark Robins. The club reached the playoffs for the first time and after defeating Middlesbrough in the semi-final, the club played Luton Town at Wembley for the chance to join the Premier League. Coventry lost in heart-breaking fashion, losing on penalties after extra time.

This shirt celebrates the beautiful coloured stained glass in Coventry Cathedral.
