DYNAMO DE DOUALA - HOME SHIRT 2023/2024

Dynamo de Douala are a historic Cameroonian club founded in 1948 in the Bassa neighbourhood of Nkongmondo, Douala, established by leaders of the Union of the Peoples of Cameroon (UPC) for the country's militant youth - and named, like so many of the great Cold War sides, after the Eastern European Dynamos. They play their home matches at the 30,000-capacity Stade de la Réunification and count three Coupe du Cameroun triumphs among their honours. The club is perhaps most famed as the training ground of Modeste M'Bami, the late Cameroonian midfielder who went on to play for Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille.

The 2023/2024 campaign - during which this unique home shirt was worn - was a return to the top flight for Dynamo after finishing as Elite Two vice-champions in 2022/2023.

In a bizarre season, Dynamo were top of the initial phase at its close. They had 30 points and had a superior head-to-head record with the team in 2nd. In the Championship round though, their season was curtailed dramatically and they failed to win a single one of their 7 matches. Victoria United lifted the Elite One title.
