FK JABLONEC - HOME SHIRT 2023/2024

Founded in 1945, Jablonec are the pride of Jablonec nad Nisou, a town tucked into the hills of north Bohemia that made its name in glass and costume jewellery. Known as the zelenobílí, the green-and-whites, they play their home football at the Stadion Střelnice, a ground whose name translates rather charmingly as "shooting range". The campaign in question was their 79th season in existence and, remarkably, their 30th in a row in the top flight.

For Jablonec this was a battle against gravity rather than a chase for glory. Radoslav Látal was in the dugout throughout, with no mid-season upheaval to speak of. After a middling regular season they were drawn into the relegation group, and eventually finished 11th in the Czech First League on 41 points from 35 matches, comfortably clear of the drop by the final weekend. Through all of it they wore this crisp green home shirt.

There was no European football this time, but the MOL Cup gave the fans a run worth savouring. Jablonec entered in the second round in September 2023 and battled through to the quarter-finals, where a tie with Viktoria Plzeň was postponed and finally settled on 2 April 2024. Reaching the last eight was a genuine bright spot in an otherwise testing year.

Up front, Jan Chramosta led the line and topped the scoring charts with 8 league goals and 10 in all competitions. Midfielder Miloš Kratochvíl weighed in with vital strikes from open play and the penalty spot, while loanees Filip Souček and Matěj Polidar arrived from Sparta Prague to add quality.
