Rangers (The Gers) are one of Scotland’s two powerhouse teams. Based in Glasgow they play at the iconic Ibrox Stadium and have a fierce city rivalry with Celtic.

The 2018/2019 season, in which this smart away shirt was worn, was the 139th season of competitive football by Rangers. They were managed by Liverpool and England legend Steven Gerrard.

Rangers competed in the Europa League, progressing through four qualifying rounds before being eliminated at the group stage. They were also knocked out of both domestic cups (League Cup and Scottish Cup) by Aberdeen.

In the league, they finished 8 points behind runaway winners Celtic.
