GUADELOUPE – THIRD SHIRT 2024/2025
Guadeloupe is a French overseas territory in the Caribbean, consisting of six inhabited islands. The island was named following Christopher Columbus’ visit in 1493. Les Gwada Boys are members of CONCACAF, and their best ever performance was in 2007 when they reached the semi-final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
They wore this vibrant third shirt in their 2024/2025 CONCACAF Nations League campaign, where they competed in the same group as Costa Rica, Suriname and Martinique.
Guadeloupe finished the group with one win, one draw, and two losses, including a 1–0 home victory over Suriname, but defeats to Costa Rica and Martinique saw them relegated to League B. They then secured a place in the 2025 Gold Cup through the Nations League Play-In, defeating the Cayman Islands on aggregate.
In the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Guadeloupe were drawn into a group with Panama, Jamaica and Guatemala. Despite goals from Jordan Leborgne, Florian David, Ange-Freddy Plumain and Matthias Phaëton, Guadeloupe lost all three group matches, including a 5-2 defeat to Panama, a 2-1 loss to Jamaica, and a 3-2 defeat to Guatemala, and were eliminated at the group stage. The campaign showed flashes of promise but ultimately highlighted the challenges Guadeloupe face at the highest level of regional competition.
