HOBRO IK – HOME SHIRT 2023/2025

Hobro Idræts Klub, commonly known as Hobro IK or HIK, are a professional football club based in Hobro, Denmark. The team currently competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of Danish football, and plays their home matches at DS Arena, which has been their home since 1958 and has a capacity of 7,500.

Founded on 13 June 1913 as Hobro Idrætsforening, the club adopted its current name in the late 1920s following a merger with the newly established Hobro Boldklub.

For much of its history, Hobro IK competed in the lower tiers of Danish football, gradually gaining recognition through youth development and strong local support. A major milestone came in 2014, when the club earned promotion to the Danish Superliga for the first time, marking one of the most remarkable ascents in Danish football history. Hobro IK also claimed the Danish 1st Division title in the 2016/2017 season, earning promotion back to the top flight, where they remained for three seasons. The club remains eager to return to the Superliga as soon as possible.

This vibrant home shirt was worn across two consecutive seasons in the Danish 1st Division - 2023/2024 and 2024/2025. In 2023/2024, Hobro finished the regular season in 6th place, qualifying for the Promotion Round. Despite an uphill challenge to close a 16-point gap over just 10 games, they improved to 5th, level on points with 4th place.

In 2024/2025, the team struggled more, finishing the regular season 8th with 26 points from 22 games, landing them in the relegation round. They ultimately secured safety comfortably, ending the season 9 points clear of Vendsyssel FF, who were relegated.
