JORDAN - AWAY SHIRT 2026
Jordan are the rising force of Asian football, a side whose rapid climb over the past five years has captured the imagination of fans across the Middle East and beyond. Affectionately known as Al-Nashama ("The Chivalrous Ones") and representing the Hashemite Kingdom in their famous red home shirt, the Jordanians announced themselves at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, played in Qatar in early 2024, reaching the final before falling 3-1 to the hosts at Lusail Stadium. It was comfortably the country's best ever run in the competition.
The summer of 2026, during which this historic away shirt was worn, brought Jordan's first ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup after decades of near-misses. Under Moroccan manager Jamal Sellami, Al-Nashama booked their ticket by finishing second behind South Korea in the third round of AFC qualifying, sealing it with a 3-0 win over Oman in Muscat in which Ali Olwan scored all three. Drawn into Group J alongside holders Argentina, Austria and Algeria, Jordan finished bottom without a point, but they scored in every game and never stopped competing.
Olwan wrote his name into history with the country's first ever World Cup goal, a 50th-minute equaliser against Austria in Santa Clara, before an own goal and a stoppage-time Marko Arnautović penalty settled it 3-1. Against Algeria, Nizar Al-Rashdan put Jordan 1-0 up at half-time, only for two second-half set pieces to turn the game 2-1 and end their hopes of the knockout rounds.
Rennes winger Mousa Al-Tamari, the man nicknamed the "Jordanian Messi", provided the parting highlight in a 3-1 defeat to Argentina: his 55th-minute strike was the only goal Lionel Messi's side conceded in the entire group stage. A shirt from the summer Al-Nashama finally made it.
