PT PRACHUAP - AWAY SHIRT 2021/2022

PT Prachuap FC are from Prachuap Khiri Khan, the slender coastal province that marks the narrowest point of Thailand. Founded in 2009, they are nicknamed the Killer Wasps (Tor Phikhat) and play their home football at the Sam Ao Stadium, named after the three bays of the seaside town. The PT in their name comes from long-time backers PTG Energy.

The 2021/2022 season, during which this striking away shirt was worn, was Prachuap's fourth campaign in the top flight, the Thai League 1. It was a season of change in the dugout: Masami Taki began the year in charge before Issara Sritaro took the reins in November. The Wasps settled into mid-table, finishing 11th of the 16 clubs and comfortably keeping their place among Thailand's elite.

Alongside the league there were runs in the Chang FA Cup and the Toyota League Cup to keep the squad busy, the domestic cups offering a welcome shot at silverware for a club of Prachuap's size and a change of scenery from the weekly grind of the league.

The Killer Wasps leaned on their permitted quota of overseas talent to sharpen their attack, this away kit becoming a familiar sight on the road at grounds up and down the Gulf coast. Survival secured and foundations laid, it was a steady campaign in the top tier for one of Thai football's most characterful smaller clubs.
