VFB STUTTGART – HOME SHIRT 2019/2020

Stuttgart are one of Germany’s traditional heavyweight clubs, having won the national title five times, most recently in the 2006/2007 season. Die Roten (“The Reds”) play at the impressive Mercedes-Benz Arena, which holds 60,000 fans.

This white-and-red home shirt was worn by Stuttgart during the 2019/2020 campaign, when they were competing in the 2. Bundesliga following relegation the previous season. Their drop came after losing to Union Berlin in the relegation play-offs on away goals.

The 2019/2020 season proved successful, however, as Stuttgart bounced straight back to the Bundesliga by finishing second, earning automatic promotion behind Arminia Bielefeld.

Nicolás González - now at Atlético Madrid on loan from Juventus - was Stuttgart’s top scorer that season, netting 14 goals in just 21 starts and showing he was far too good for the second tier.
